Why Register with us?

The individual parishes of Rhode Island are the backbone of our Diocese. They provide us all with a community for worship and service. To that end, our parishes – like the Diocese – rely on the stewardship of its parishioners for vital support. In the Catholic Church, to be a steward means to contribute consistently your time, talent, and treasure in thanksgiving for the many blessings that God has given us.

 

Stewardship in all its forms is received with much gratitude.

Many Catholics in the Diocese of Providence contribute generously to their parish during the weekly Offertory. But some wonder, “Where does the money go?” Every parish in the Diocese is required to publish an annual report that will provide its parishioners with that answer. What you will find is that your weekly offering pays for the maintenance of your church and its buildings; provides salaries to the staff; and supports programs that directly impact the people of our parish.

 

Our parish presently has about 1800 registered families….yet we know we are responsible for many more! We invite you to become a true part of this family. Become a steward of St. Mark Church, commit to Time, Talent, and Treasure. Be proud of your parish…be proud of what we will accomplish together as a growing family.
