ARTHUR S. REBELLO ASSEMBLY #2808

Although members of a KOC Council achieve full Knighthood by receiving three degrees, a Knight may choose to extend his service by attaining a fourth degree and, by doing so, join an additional organization called a "Fourth Degree Assembly."

In addition to being the home of the "Reverend Richard A. Donnelly Council #322, Knights of Columbus," our parish is also the home of the "Arthur S. Rebello Assembly #2808."

The primary purpose of the Fourth Degree is to foster the spirit of patriotism in members and the community at large and encourage active Catholic citizenship. Today there are some 300,000 Fourth Degree Knights out of the total 1.75 million Knights of Columbus. A fourth Degree Knight may become part of the assembly's color corps. These members are recognized widely by their distinctive attire of tuxedo, feathered hat (chapeau), cape, and sword. These members regularly take part in civic events such as parades and wreath-laying ceremonies, and at ecclesiastical functions. The various colored capes and chapeau feathers denote different officer positions within the Fourth Degree.

The Fourth Degree of the Knights of Columbus is the Patriotic and Social arm of the Knights of Columbus.

Standing Firm in Support of the Order: Knights of the Patriotic Degree are dedicated to the personal development and continued honor of brother Knights. We are always there to offer leadership, guidance, and encouragement.

Proudly Serving the Country: Knights of the Patriotic Degree glorify God by serving our communities and nations as though Christ were the one being served.

Unwavering Support of the Faith: Knights of the Patriotic Degree hold unwaveringly to what is right and honorable, working to keep God in the civic arena, serving the life of the Church, and defending laws that recognize the sanctity of life and true religious liberty.

Honoring the Legacy of Knighthood: The Color Corps is an elective division of the Patriotic Degree that presents a visible reminder of our service to the community. The Fourth Degree Knights, in their distinctive regalia, provide Color Guards for the clergy, funerals, and many other official functions of the Church.

The Knights are very proud of their work with our servicemen and veterans.

The assembly meets the 3rd Monday of every month in the Mother Cabrini Parish Center. For more information contact the Faithful Navigator, Peter Brissette by email at peter08091994@gmail.com.
